Apart from the above, participants shall not be entitled to any refund or compensation should political or economic circumstances or a case of “force majeure” outside of the control of NSpine prevent the event from being held, limit its size or modify its nature.

Liability and Insurance
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, NSpine shall only be liable for damages caused directly by NSpine’s wilful intent or gross negligence. Any further liabilityof NSpine, in particular for simple or minor negligence, is excluded. This exclusion applies to all types of damage, whether direct or indirect, including (but not limited to)loss of profit, loss of use, loss of production, loss of savings, data loss and property damage, as well as claims brought by third parties.
NSpine shall not be liable, to the extent permitted by law, for any act or omission of faculty members, speakers, instructors, staff, contractors, service providers (includingbut not limited to venue, catering, audiovisual and technical providers), sponsors, exhibitors or other participants, even where these individuals or entities are engaged byor cooperating with NSpine. This includes any injury, damage or loss suffered by delegates arising out of or in connection with their actions or omissions, except wheresuch damage is directly caused by NSpine’s wilful intent or gross negligence. Participants acknowledge that third-party providers (such as venues, hotels, transportcompanies and caterers) operate under their own terms and conditions, and that any claims relating to their services must be directed to those providers.
Participants attend the event at their own risk. NSpine will not provide any personal, medical, travel or professional liability insurance for delegates. By registering andattending, each participant acknowledges and agrees that it is their own responsibility to obtain appropriate insurance coverage, which may include personal and medicalinsurance, travel insurance and, where relevant, professional or malpractice insurance sufficient to cover risks associated with their participation in the event. NSpine is notresponsible for the loss, theft or damage of participants’ personal belongings at any of the event venues.
If and insofar as liability is excluded or limited, this shall also apply to the personal liability of NSpine’s staff, employees, representatives, corporate bodies and vicariousagents.
These exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory applicable law. Where certain liabilities cannot be excluded, they shall be limited to themaximum extent permitted by such law.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or with participation in the event (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall begoverned by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The courts at the registered office of NSpine GmbH in Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any such dispute or claim, to the extent permitted bymandatory applicable law.
